Day 1: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Zojila Pass – Drass – Kargil
Visit: Great vistas of Drass Valley with views of Tiger Hill, Kargil War Memorial
- Reach early morning to Srinagar or reach on any previous day (Loose End)
- Enjoy the vistas en-route especially the lush green Minamarg Meadows
- Have late brunch meal at Drass
- Overnight at Kargil
- About 8-9 Hrs drive, depending upon the traffic movement at Zozila and breaks in between
Day 2 : Kargil – Lamayuru - Leh
Visit: Rock Carved Mulbekh Maitrey, Lamayuru Monastery, Lunar Landscapes
- Hit the roads by 6:00 AM
- On the way to Leh you can also see Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Magnetic Hills, Confluence at Nimmu

Day 3: Leh Local
Visit: Leh Main Market, Leh Palace or just rest

Day 4 : Leh - Khardung La - Diskit
Visit: Khardung la , highest motorable road (as claimed), Diskit Monastery, which has 106 Feet tall Buddha statue, Go for Camel Safari over Hunder Sand Dunes in the evening
- Hit the roads by 6.30 AM
- Head for Nubra Valley and stay overnight at Hunder / Diskit
- On the way enjoy a cup of Tea at Highest Motorable Pass (as claimed) Khardung La
- Diskit has monasteries with tallest lord Buddha statue
- Hunder has sand dunes and double humped bacterian camel safari
- About 5-6 Hrs drive, depending upon the breaks in between and at Khardung La
Day 5 : Diskit – Sumur – Panamik – Sumur – Khardung La – Leh
Visit: Hot water springs @ Panamik

Day 6 : Leh – Hemis Monastery – Chang La Pass - Pangong Tso Lake
Visit: Hemis Monastery,
Pangong Tso: One of the largest salt water lakes in the world which is 1/3rd in India and rest in Tibet
- Hit the roads by 6.00 AM
- Witness the the largest monastic institution in Ladakh – Hemis Monastery
- Dash for a day trip to Pangong Tso to experience the blue hues

- Cover Korzok Monastery and Hot springs at Chumathang

Day 9 : Tso Moriri – Tso Kar – Moore Plains – Sarchu - Jispa
Visit (en route): Tso Kar, Moore Plains, Pang, Lachulung la @ 16616 ft, Nakee la @ 15547 ft, Gata Loops
· Early morning we leave from Tso Moriri for TsoKar
· The lake is very popular with bird watchers as the marshlands surrounding the lake supports an amazing array of bird life.
· The common birds that are seen are Brahmni ducks, bar headed geese and great crested grebe. The main attraction, however, is the black necked crane. The black necked cranes, known for their fidelity, come to Tso Kar to lay eggs.
Day 10 : Jispa – Manali
Visit (en route): Rohtang Pass @ 13,054 ft
Travel time: 5-6 hrs odd
Stay @ Manali at 6,730 ft

Finally the much awaited range trek is here, we at Trek Mates India invite you to Range Trek from Lonavala to Bhimashankar on 12th-13th Sept 2015 (Batch 1) .
This is one of the tough range treks, as distance needs to be covered is close to 75 km. It’s an ancient trade route. It is an old trade route where in some parts you can actually see the old built route with the help of stone.

Group Size: 20 participants. Previous trekking experience required.
This is one of the tough range treks, as distance needs to be covered is close to 75 km. It’s an ancient trade route. It is an old trade route where in some parts you can actually see the old built route with the help of stone.
This is an awesome trek giving us chance to enjoy each and every feature of Sahyadri weather those are steep falls to Konkan, huge plateaus or dense forest .Also you will enjoy the enormous flowers and butterflies. This trek is an amazing beauty beyond camera one has to feel and experience.

(As it is difficult to accommodate 15-20 people in a train as all the trains get full at CST itself it is advised to the participants to look after travelling part till Lonavala.
Mumbai People can reserve their seats in Mahalaxmi Exp/Siddheshwar Exp/Mumbai Chennai Howrah Mail/ Pandharpur Passenger or they can opt for Bus as per there convenience.

Pratapgad is a large fort located in Satara district, built on a spur which overlooks the road between the villages of Par and Kinesvar.
The fort can be divided into the lower fort and upper fort. The upper fort was built upon the crest of the hill. It is roughly square, 180m long on each side. It has several permanent buildings, including a temple to the god Mahadev. It is located at the northwest of the fort, and is surrounded by sheer cliffs with drops of up to 250m.The lower fort is around 320m long and 110m wide. It is located at the southeast of the fort, and is defended by towers and bastions ten to twelve metres high.
The Battle of Pratapgarh between Shivaji and Afzal Khan was fought below the rampants of this fort on November 10, 1659. This was the first major test of the fledgling kingdom's army, and set the stage of the establishment of the Maratha empire.

Gorakhgad is a fort that can be done easily in a day, both from Mumbai and Pune. Though not famous for any historical events, Gorakhgad attracts trekkers due to its inviting pinnacles, which offer good opportunities for rock-climbing. This region of Gorakhgad and Machchindragad has a dense forest cover.
Fort Gorakhgad is quite small in size. It was having strategic importance during the reign of Shahaji Raje. However, no major battle is recorded to have taken place here. It was used in Shivaji's era to patrol the nearby region and was used as a stopover station during the journey to Junnar via Naneghat. Though small in size, there is enough availability water and a lot of space for accommodation. The fort gets its name from Saint Gorakhnath, who performed his "Sadhana" in this place.

Visit the Legendary Waterfall of India with Trek Mates India – Trek to Dudhsagar Waterfall Top through Jungle Route and Camping near the Waterfall on 12th and 13th December 2015. (Leaving on 11th Night and Returning on 14th December Morning)
Dudhsagar is one of the world's most exquisite falls. It lies high up in the Mandovi River's watershed and so are so spectacular during the monsoon season when the falls are transformed into one of the most powerful falls in India. Dudhsagar Falls is listed as India's fifth tallest waterfall and is 227th in the world at 310 m. The water plummets hundreds of meters (over a thousand feet) in large volumes during the rainy monsoon season, forming one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in Goa.

There is also a legend associated with this waterfall. It is believed that a beautiful princess lived in the forest (near present day Dudhsagar Falls) in a palace. She loved and enjoyed bathing in a lake nearby and used to drink "sweetened milk" from her "golden jug" after finishing with her bath. One day while enjoying her jug of milk she found herself being watched by a prince, who was standing amongst the trees. Red with embarrassment at her inadequate bathing attire, she poured the jug of milk in front of him to form an improvised curtain to hide her body while the maids rushed to cover her with her dress. It is said that it is that sweetened milk that cascades down the mountain slope as Dudhsagar Falls to this day as a tribute to the virtue and modesty of the princess.

This is equally scenic but less popular route. One has to get down at Kuhlem (Collem) railway station and walk towards the falls which is about 11 km away. It normally takes 2–3 hours to reach. The famous photograph of Trains passing through before the waterfalls can be seen in this route and also the complete stretch of the falls will be visible while you hike towards the waterfalls.

The fort dates back to the Satvahan Era and was mainly used to keep a watch on the trade route passing through the Sahyadris. As one starts ascending the fort, 4 massive doors have to be crossed namely Ganesh Darwaza, Narayan Darwaza, Hanuman Darwaza, & Maha Darwaza. The top of the fort is expansive and has a huge lake built by Nana Phadnis. The most interesting feature of this fort is the 'Vinchu Katta', which stretches for almost 2 kms and is slightly detached from the fort. The end of this katta has a bastion which was used for keeping a watch on the region. As the name itself suggest, the 'Vinchu Katta' when viewed from the top of the fort resembles a Scorpions Sting. Meeting Point: Teen Hath Naka, Thane West at 06:00 am on 27th June' 2015. Saputara hill station is perched on a plateau in the Dang forest area of the Sahyadri range at an altitude of about 1000 m. Some Information of the place: Malshej Ghats the famous monsoon destination needs no introduction to Mumbaikars. Malshej Ghat (माळशेज घाट) is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range in the Thane district of Maharashtra, India. The site is nestled in the lofty rugged hills of the Western Ghats. A nice view of valleys is one of the major attraction here. The view from behind the MTDC resort is a must-see. It is also famous for dark woods and the animals inside. These animals includes tigers, leopards, rabbits and peacocks etc. But truly a famous place near Malshej Ghat is Khireshwar which is 2/3 km from rest house. Through Khireshwar village, one can visit the famous Harishchandragadh also. One of the beauties here are many waterfalls in the hilly regions. Various waterfalls from small up to the huge ones are really worth to see and many are right next to the highway. It is built on donated land on a peninsula between Gorai creek and the Arabian Sea. The pagoda is to serve as a monument of peace and harmony. The Global Vipassana Pagoda has been built out of gratitude to the Buddha, his teaching and the community of monks practicing his teaching. Its traditional Burmese design is an expression of gratitude towards the country of Myanmar for preserving the practice of Vipassana. The shape of the pagoda is a copy of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar. It was built combining ancient Indian and modern technology to enable it to last for a thousand years. The center of the Global Vipassana Pagoda contains the world's largest stone dome built without any supporting pillars. The height of the dome is approximately 29 metres, while the height of the building is 96.12 meters, which is twice the size of the previously largest hollow stone monument in the world, the Gol Gumbaz Dome in Bijapur, India. External diameter of the largest section of the dome is 97.46m and the shorter sections is 94.82m. Internal diameter of the dome is 85.15m. The inside of the pagoda is hollow and serves as a very large meditation hall with an area covering more than 6000 m2 (65,000 ft2). The massive inner dome seats over 8000 people enabling them to practice the non-sectarian Vipassana meditation as taught by Mr S.N. Goenka and now being practiced in over 100 countries. An inaugural one-day meditation course was held at the pagoda on 21 December 2008, with Mr S.N. Goenka in attendance as the teacher. It was laid out in 1861 and is one of the oldest zoos in India. We have gone there every year since the inception of The Blueberry Trails and still the beauty that surrounds us never ceases to inspire. Strategically perched atop a wedge-shaped block of hill, split off from the Western Ghats and inaccessible from three sides. Stories of incredible valour and heroic deeds are etched on every pebble at Raigad. It was here that Shivaji built his capital city in the 14th century, and here that he crowned himself Chhatrapati. For six years upto his death, Raigad remained the capital of the Marathas with its broad gates and magnificent monuments. There was only one pathway leading to the top, and prizes were offered to those who scaled the fort through unconventional methods. Though parts of Raigad are in ruins, yet they inspire an aura of grandeur. Shivaji's impregnable capital, the place where he was crowed and where he died. Besides the fort, you'll find his samadhi and the remains of his palace. Ascend via Pachnai descend via Pachnai. Harischandragad is one of the most visited forts in Western Ghats. If you are trekking in Sahyadri for several years and you haven't visited Harishchandragad then you haven't trekked enough. This enormous fort has 7 routes and during this trek we will be doing most simple route ie Pachnai Route. Its the easiest way to explore Harishchandragad without facing much exhaustion. Pachnai route might be the simplest route but its very scenic. Since it does not take out your breath, you are more appreciative to your surroundings. Harishchandragad: The fort is quite ancient, considered to be from the Medieval period. The Great sage Changdev (one who created the epic Tatvasaar), used to meditate on Taramati/Rohidas in 14th century. The caves are also from the same period. Harishchandragad was captured by the Marathas in 1747 from the Moguls. Konkan Kada: The most interesting point on this fort is this cliff, which has always fascinated many people from many years. The cliff faces west and looks down upon the Konkan with a breathtaking view of the surrounding region and sunset. This cliff is not just vertical; it is an overhang, almost like a cobra's hood. Kedareshwar: The cave of Kedareshwar has a big Shivlinga, which is totally surrounded by water. Wai is known in Maharashtra for its ghats on the banks of the Krishnā river and its temples, including especially the "DholyāGanapati" temple on the "GanapatiGhāt" Wai is also famous for film shootings (Hindi, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Tamil). Films like Gangajal, Omkara, Dabbang, Swadesh, Ishqiya, Singham, Deool and many others.Mahabaleswar is a hill station located in the Western Ghats range. With one of the few evergreen forests of the world, it served as the summer capital of Bombay province during the British Raj. Little info about the fort Type: Adventurous bike riding eventHeight: 3600 Feet above MSL (Approx)Grade: Easy- medium (good biking skills required.)District: PuneRange: LonavalaThe road from Lonavala to Rajmachi is ideal for muddy off-roading. The 17 km stretch from Lonavala till Rrajmachi and back (same 17 kms back), in these days has many water streams, puddles, ups and downs, slippery roads, etc which makes our ride fun and much more adventurous than other bike trek rides. These are two forts which were built by Shivaji Emperor during 17th century. It is a famous spot for trekking. It is at 17 km trekking distance from Lonavla. Rajmachi fort is a strategic fort overlooking Borghat (ghat between Mumbai and Pune) which was a historical trade route. Rajmachi peak has two fortified structures - the Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan fort. Rajmachi can be reached by 2 ways, the tough route from Kondivide village near Karjat and the other easy but long way route from Lonavala. The caves as such are sacred as the Lord of Bahiri resides here. From the caves, we can have a glance of the terrifying beauty of peaks of Sahyadri.
