Paintballs are composed of a non-toxic, biodegradable, water soluble polymer. Dear All,

We @ शिखर वेध has arranged a one day trip to Padamdurg (KASA FORT) on Sunday 18 January 2015

Padmadurg, also known as Kasa fort, is a fort in Maharashtra, India. It was built by the great Maratha ruler King Shivaji to the northwest of the fort Janjira. It was built mainly to conquer the fort Janjira, although it is not as big as Janjira. Due to incomplete construction, and bombardment from Janjira during its construction, only ruins of the Padmadurg fort remain.

It looks great from Janjira. When Shivaji the Great decided o take on the Siddis of Janjira, his admiral, Daulat Khan, built this fort on an island next to Janjira. The rock, on which the fort was built, was called Kasa and the fort was named Padmadurg. The fort has six bastions, some of them devastated by gun attack from the famous ‘kalal bangdi’ gun in Janjira. Kasa was soon overpowered by Siddis and used as a Jail.

They should be kept back by cleaning after using them.
An important part of this thrilling trek is the cave, which is situated on the other side of fort, and the way goes through dense vegetation. One should proceed from here by taking support of the rocks and should be quite careful. Ascending the rock patch where a bamboo and a rope are used to climb to the caves. However, if one wishes to go to the Caves, then one will have to be a bit careful covering the rest patch! It's a thrill....enjoy it !
Kalakrai Pinnacle :This pinnacle is quite famous and frequently visited by mountaineers. The way to the left of the ridge takes to the cliff, but a rope and rock climbing equipment is necessary.

Some details about Harishchandragad and Konkan kada:

Harishchandragad is a hill fort in the Ahmednagar region of India. Its
history is linked with that of Malshej Ghat, and it has played a major
role in guarding the surrounding region. The height of the fort is
4671 ft MSL. The most interesting point on this fort is this cliff,
which has always fascinated many people from many years. The cliff
faces west and looks down upon the Konkan. From here, one can have a
breathtaking view of the surrounding region and the setting sun. This
cliff is not just vertical, but it is an overhang, almost like a
cobra's hood. The Konkankada, a unique formation in the Sahyadris, is
really tough and a challenge for the trekkers. This is a semicircular
cliff of about 2,000 ft straight drop + 1000 ft slant fall in the
Konkan plains. The surrounding grandeur and beauty of the plains and
the mountains leaves us totally spellbound. It is one of the highest
direct fall cliffs to be found in Maharashtra and Western Ghats. This
is a combination of thrill and bliss that every true adventurer would
    say ‘YES!!!’ to…

Rappelling, also known as abseiling is an act of descending a mountain
face by sliding down a rope, which is attached to a body harness and
fastened to an overhead projection, with sufficient friction provided
as to make the speed of the descend controllable.

    Detail of the Rappelling:

To rappel the Konkankada at least once in a life time is a dream of
almost every adventure freak in Sahyadris. It is the most thrilling
and spellbound activity offered in the Sahyadris range.

Rappelling will be conducted in 4 stages to complete 1800ft.

Moments Shoot's Photo Tour to "Tadoba" Wild Life Safari - The Jewel of Vidharba on 24-25-26 Apr 2015

    Tadoba
TATR stands for Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve since it was included in the Project Tiger Program in the year. TATR is created by amalgamating Tadoba National Park & Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary.
The total area under the Project Tiger is 1727.6 sq.km with core area being 625. 82 sq.km and the rest 1101.78 sq.km constitute the buffer zone. The core area concept denotes critical tiger habitat which is subject to intense conservation measures with human intervention being minimal.

The lifeline of the park are the Andhari River, Erai Dam, Kolsa Lake, Junoria Lake and the Tadoba Lake. The river and water storage systems provide year long supply for fresh water to this amazing ecosystem. Besides small water bodies, rivulets and creeks exists in  the confines of dense forests in plains and hills. Man made water holes and small dams add to a life sustaining environment. These factors explain the prolific bio diversity of the region.

    Flora
Tadoba reserve is a predominantly Southern tropical Dry Deciduous Forest with dense woodlands comprising about 87 per cent of the protected area. Teakis the prdominant tree species. Other deciduous trees include Ain (crocodile bark), Bija, Dhauda, Hald, Salai, Semal and Tendu. beheda, hirda, karaya gum, mahua Madhuca (Crepe myrtle) and Lannea coramandelica (Wodier Tree) are other common species.

    Fauna
Aside from around 65 of the keystone species Bengal tiger, Tadoba Tiger Reserve is home to other mammals, including: Indian leopards, sloth bears, gaur, nilgai, dhole, striped hyena, small Indian civet, jungle cats, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, chital, and chausingha.

Reptiles here include the endangered Indian python and the common Indian monitor. Terrapins, Indian star tortoise, Indian cobra and Russel's viper also live in Tadoba.
The lake is an ornithologist's paradise with a wide diversity of water birds, and raptors. 195 species of birds have been recorded, including three endangered species. The grey-headed fish eagle, the crested serpent eagle, and the changeable hawk-eagle are some of the raptors.

Other interesting species include the orange-headed thrush, Indian pitta, crested treeswift, stone curlew, crested honey buzzard, paradise flycatcher, bronze-winged jacana and lesser goldenbacked woodpecker. Warblers and the black-naped blue flycatcher exist here and the call of the peacock may often be heard.

    About Kanha -

The Kanha National Park, situated in the eastern sector of the central Indian Highlands, ranges over an area of 940 sq km in the Mailkal chain of hills. Kanha Tiger reserve consists of the National Park which forms the Core Zone and a Buffer zone around the core bringing the total area up to 1945 sq. km.

The altitude of the park varies between 450 metres and 950 metres above sea level. The two major rivers here are the Banjar and the Halon – in addition, numerous small tributaries break down through the hill gorges into the valleys, to meander through the meadows. The meadows, dotted with clumps of the great sal tree, lie interspersed with larger areas of Sal forest while at higher altitudes the bamboo becomes predominant.

Beside the Tigers for which Kanha is justly famous, the abundance of wildlife here is remarkable – the magnificient Gaur; The hardground Barasinga, the herd of Chital, and the ever present Langur. In all, some 22 species of large mammals are regularly found within the Park – and the birdlife is equally impressive.

    Ultimate Birdwatching and Photography !!

    About the Tour :

Bhigwan is a small dusty town on the border of Pune and Solapur district in Central Maharashtra, in India. Bhigwan is located on the Pune-Solapur Highway. South of Bhigwan town, exists a widespread backwater formed due to a man made dam built on the Bhima river. The dam is called as Ujni dam. The backwaters is spread over a wide region and is mainly a shallow waste water reserve. There are two areas where one can see the migratory water birds. 1) Diksal-Parewadi area and 2) Dalaj – Kumbharwadi area. The semi-waste water in this Ujni dam backwater area has built very good wetland based ecosystem and helped agriculture also. The rainfall in Pune region decides the water level in Ujani dam. March is the best season to visit Bhigwan as by that time most of the migratory birds arrive and settle down.

One can expect various types of Ducks, Herons, Egrets, Raptors and Waders along with flocks of hundreds of flamingos. The huge quantity of birds at Bhigwan increases the chance of sighting almost all the prime bird species there and also creates great photographic opportunities for wildlife photographers. The best part of these outings is that we are also including the famous Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary in our itinerary. Its a small patch of forest at Supa village, also known as Supa Grasslands and is a great place to observe and photograph the Indian Gazelles.
