Human being has been forever fascinated and interested in watching and identifying birds since times immemorial – the question is have you gone bird watching yet? Winter is one of the best seasons to go birding– several birds migrate to SGNP, to escape from the harsh cold of their native lands. Come; learn how to mesmerize yourself in this passionate hobby, which will last you for your lifetime. This workshop will introduce you to the science, art and sheer joy of bird watching! Date: 17th Jan 2016 (Sunday) Itinerary: 6.00 am : Reporting at SGNP Gate, Tea 6.15 am : Departure by vehicle into the forest 7.00 am to 9.00 am : Bird watching 9.30 am : Return to NIC & breakfast 10.15 am : AV by Saurabh Sawant. Fees: INR 650/- (per person) Profile of Programme Coordinator: “Saurabh Sawant is a Wildlife Researcher & Photographer based in Mumbai. He is an avid naturalist with wide interest and knowledge of Natural History, but Birds & some Insect groups are his expertise. He has led bird surveys in many protected areas across India including the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. He works on wildlife conservation projects in association with different organizations and is a recipient of the prestigious Carl Zeiss Conservation Award, 2015.
