Duration: 05 HoursTimings: 06:30 AM to 08:30 PMActivities: TrekkingTotal trekking distance: 5kmHighest Altitude: 1,050mTemperature Range: 15 to 30 DegreesDifficulty Level: Easy/Medium---------------------------------------------------------------About तेलबैला :Telbaila, situated around 94 km from Pune is a 'Magmatic Dyke' which is a very steep vertical wall of rocks created by intruding magma into a fissure. The wall is divided into two dykes at the middle where a small Shivalaya exists. Telbaila was a fort with steps which theBritish destroyed with mines & guns just to prevent any mutiny in future against the British Rule. Today Telbaila stands as one of themost prominent places in the Sahyadris famous for its four rock-climbing routes. Ascent to the top requires high technical mountaineering skills. It's a climber's paradise. However the tourists can go up to the temple and enjoy the scenic beauty of Sudhagad in Konkan visible right beyond the deep valley.About घनगड:Ghangad is a lonely fort standing quietly away, surrounded by Korigad, Telbaila, Sudhagad and Navra-Navri-Bhatji peaks. The base village is Ekole. Ghagad is famous among trekkers for its 15-feet rock-patch. Now the villagers have installed a ladder at this point, making the fort easier to access for commoners, too. View from Ghangad is stunning, with the lone tall rock at the mouth of deep gorge that runs from its walls into Konkan, the amazing view of Telbaila, Sudhagad, Sarasgad. One can see the backwaters of Mulshi Lake, also Nandand Ghat, Savashnicha ghat and Bhorpaychi Nal, which descend to Kokan.Interesting places to see:Gaarjai Temple, Rock cut caves, massive chunk of rocks detached from the cliff Waghjai idol, rock patch, water cisterns, dilapidatedentrance to the fort, etc.-----------------------------------------------------------------Attractions :- twin walls with "Dyke" type of geological construction. The fort is located on the top of the wall. This construction is unique in Sahyadri.... Read more
