It was constructed in 996 AD; – not just in Spiti but in the whole of the Tibetan Buddhist world is called Chogs – Khor ['Doctrinal Circle' or 'Doctrinal Enclave']. It is a complex that holds 9 Temples, 23 Chortens, a Monk's Chamber & an extension that houses the Nun's Chamber. On the sheer cliff-face above the enclave are a series of Caves, used as dwellings by the Monks & includes an Assembly Hall. The monastery contains large number of Scriptures & Pieces of Art, Wall Painting & Stucco. There is also a modern Gompa & Painting School founded by the Dalai Lama. Check-out from Tabo after Lunch.
After Tabo stop at Dhankar Gompa, the traditional Capital of Spiti, which sits pretty on a hilltop. The hill-top Fort that overlooks the Spiti Valley also used to serve as a jail in old days. The three storied structure consists largely of storage rooms at the bottom level while the middle floor houses the Dukhang – the Assembly Hall & the uppermost floor has another Temple & Head Lama's Quarters on the one side of an Open Terrace. The greatest wealth of Ki Gompa lies in its collection of 'Thangkas'salvaged with difficulty from the devastating raids of the Dogars & the Sikhs in the 19TH Century. Hundreds of Lamas receive their Religious Training in this Monastery & is famous for its ancient Murals & Books. From here a scenic drive takes you into the Pasture Country of Kibber. About the Tour :
Valley of Flowers is the name of the Himalayan area in Uttarakhand state in India. In 1931 the English mountaineer Frank Smythe stumbled across the Bhyundar Valley, an 8 km long glacier corridor in Chamoli -one of the district of Uttarakhand state .This area, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and carpeted with over 500 species of flowers, soon became a protected site.
Nature had designed this valley (3,658 m. to 3962 m) for the dedicated outdoors person. Nearly 10 km long and almost 2 kms wide, the valley is ringed with snow-capped mountains and watered by streams rising in the mountains. It is accessible from late April, but grandest from late July to the end of August. Literally hundreds of wild flowers bloom in this valley including the rare Himalayan Blue Poppy . A naturalist's delight, the valley is reputed to be the largest repository of the wild flowers in the natural surroundings in the world over 300 species have been identified.
Flowers mostly orchids, poppies, primulas, calendulas, daisies and anemones carpet the ground. Alpine forests of birch and rhododendron cover a part of the area, and are home to tahr, snow leopard, musk deer, red fox, common langur, bharal, serow, Himalayan black bear and a huge variety of butterflies.

Still trying to figure out how you’ll be spending the Independence day weekend ? We have the perfect spot to camp in the heart of nature.
Our campsite is 87 kms from Mumbai 30 kms from Palghar. A 5 minute walk from the river, the campsite is surrounded by a dense cover of trees. Once you take a detour from the highway, the road to our campsite from there is a 6km narrow and winding one with trees on both sides of the roads forming arches at some points. Here we'll be indulging in various adventure activities and other team building games under the supervision of trained experts over the weekend. First aid and proper sanitation facilities are available at the campsite. However during your time there, you'd have to abide by the rules set by the campsite which are as follows:
1) Pay attention to instructions before the activities.
2) Respect nature and the outdoors. Keep the campsite and surroundings clean at all times and use dustbins.
3) Please clear your own used plates and place them carefully in the baskets provided , so that they are clean for your next use.
4) Water is precious, use it cautiously and sensibly.
5) Please use marked pathways to avoid getting lost.
6) Respect the infrastructure, don't damage the property.
7) Please do no wander outside the camp site without informing camp staff or instructors.
8) Leave your shoes outside the tent.
9) Use your phones only in case of emergency. Enjoy the outdoors for a change.
10) Avoid loud speakers after 10 P.M
11) Restrooms are shared so avoid spending too much time inside. Besides, it's much prettier outside.
Please take care of your own belongings at all times.
