Hello Guys,
After conducting a successful trek on Fort Mahuli We have planned our next trek to Fort Peb situated beside Matheran.
Trek Cost- Rs 400/- per head
Last Date of registration-7th August 2015

*Neral to Neral transportation
*Morning Brekfast
*Evening refreshment ( Only If we reach the base as per schedule)
*Expertise charges.
Following are the trek details-
Schedule-
*Assembling at Neral Stn at 7.30am. (Train schedule is given below)
*Will have a quick breakfast
* Will travel by private cab from neral to base village
*Will start trek from this point towards the Peb Fort.
*After reaching the summit we shall explore the fort followed by lunch.
*Start descending at around 3pm
*Reach the base by same cab route at around 5pm
*At the end we will catch CST train and head to our respective destination.
Compulsory Items to carry for 1 day Trek-
• Sports Shoes/Canvas shoes with Good Grip Quality.
• Track pants or three fourths or shorts only for boys. No Jeans/Shorts(for girls)
• Napkin/Small Towel
• 1 or 2 Littre Water bottles.
• Only Shoulder Sack. No one side Sack please.
• Cap, Extra pair of clothes(especially for monsoon),
* Carry One time lunch with You.
* Personal Medicine If u are undergoing any prescribed course

Sahyamitra announces trek to Ghangad on 9th August 2015.
Ghangad is a beautiful fort located in the heart of Tamhini Ghat. It is situated on western side of Mulshi River, which is called as Korbarase Maval. This fort is surrounded by Korigad, Telbaila and Sudhagad, but still lonely and separated.
History
· In June 1665 Shivaji Raje Bhosale had agreed on a Truce called the Truce of Purandar and handed over 23 forts out of his empire to the Mogul agressors.
Ghangad was one of the forts that was handed over
· During 1670-71 Shivaji Raje conducted a series of attacks against the moguls and won these forts back. Then these forts were under the Maratha regime for a long time
· Around 1713 the Navy Chief Khanoji Angre held Ghangad and handed it over to Shahu Maharaj on 28th Feb 1714 as per a treaty.
· Shahu Maharaj then gave the possession of this fort to Balaji Vishwanath Peshwe.
· In the later rules of the Peshwe rule, Ghangad was turned into a prison, housing political as well as social criminals.
· On 17th March 1818, Ghangad was taken away from the Peshwas by Lt. Colonel Prother of the british army without any resistance.

Transport Cost from Pickup Point to Ghangad base and back,
Breakfast, Snack .
Cost Excludes:
All food & beverages costs apart from the ones mentioned above.
Any personal expenditure (Toiletries, medicines etc.)
Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary / stay on account of roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control.
Anything not specifically mentioned under the head “Cost Includes”.

Few Do's and Don'ts:
• Avoid littering and kindly ensure all city waste is carried back or disposed off appropriately.
• Do not destroy/ write on archeological or historical monuments.
• Smoking cigarette, chewing tobaco and consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited during the trek.
• A group is a cohesive unit only if it acts together, avoid acting on your own and coordinate with the leader and deputy.
• Member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
• Please understand that treks are not a kind of picnics, so please don't expect luxury and absolute comforts.
• Trek is relatively safe. Most of the accidents, if happened here, have been due to the foolhardiness of humans. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, Sahyamitra cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness, Loss of property and such other unforeseen eventualities.
• The Trek/Itinerary can be changed/modified/cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances without any prior notice.

History:
Visapur Fort (also called Visapoor Fort) is a hill fort near Visapur village in Maharashtra, India.
It was built during 1713-1720 CE by Balaji Vishwanath, the first Peshwa of Maratha Empire.[1][2] Visapur fort was built much later than Lohagad but the histories of the two forts are closely linked.

Rules & Instructions: – Lunch for Sunday noon is compulsory – Valuable articles are not permissible – Keep the camp site clean & force others to do so. – Please note that this area is under the jurisdiction of Govt. of Maharashtra, Forest Department and you are bind to its rules and regulations. – Leaving your garbage (empty bisleri bottles also) at camp site is not allowed. – Bring extra polythene bags for your garbage and take it at your home for proper disposal. We are not going to provide you dust bin at camp site. Please stick to these rules. – Disposable materials like Styrofoam or paper dish, glass or bowl are not allowed. Instead of these, bring what you are using at home – Take care of your Camera & cell phone – Everyone has to follow the instructions of Camp In-charge & instructors – No shortcut in the trek – Drinking not allowed.
