ITINERARY
Day 01: Saturday, 20th December 2014
Meet & Greet upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport & proceed to Phuntsholing (298M), a small town at the Indo-Bhutan border. Overnight in Hotel
Day 02: Sunday, 21st December 2014
After breakfast drive for 6hrs to Thimphu (178km /2300M), the modern capital of Bhutan which lies at an elevation of 2300M in a valley traversed by the Wang Chu (river). The capital city is lively & is an ideal destination to walk around and experience the Bhutanese style of living.

Day 03: Monday, 22nd December 2014
The day would start post breakfast with a guided tour around the Indigenous Hospital where traditional art of healing is still practiced. Also in line for the day would be other sights like the National Library, Royal Goldsmiths workshop, The Memorial Chorten, The Art & Craft School etc. To add to the Bhutan Experience, We would also be vising the Motithang Mini Zoo which is home to the Rare & Beautiful “Takin” which is the National Animal of Bhutan.

Day 04: Tuesday, 23rd December 2014
The Drive from Thimpu to Wangdi via Punakha takes one over the Dochu la pass at an altitude of 3100 meters. The view that the route offers of the Eastern Himalayan Range which includes the Highest Mountain in Bhutan, Mount Gangar Punsum @ 7520 meters needs to be seen to be believed. Sightseeing for the day would include Punakha Dzong which is built at the confluence of the Po & Mo Chu Rivers in the early 17th Century.

Day 05: Wednesday, 24th December 2014
This day would be a treat to nature lovers as we head out to explore Gangtey which is home to the Rare Migratory Black Necked Crane. Along the way, we would also cover the only Nyingmapa Monastery in Western Bhutan and also catch a glimpse of the glacier valley from a close distance.

Day 06: Thursday, 25th December 2014
Post breakfast drive to Paro (135 km / 2134 Mtr) via Lobesa. Along the way, cover the Chimme Lhakhang which was built in the 15 century and dedicated to the famous Lama Drukpa Kunley or divine mad man; one of the most famous saints in Bhutan visited mostly by childless couples. Drive 3 HRS to Thimphu for lunch (optional) and proceed 2 hrs to Paro. En-route visit the oldest building in Bhutan, the Simtokha Dzong. It now serves as a Buddhist university.

Day 07: Friday, 26th December 2014
This day would be reserved for sightseeing around Paro & would cover the Taktsang Monastery, Ta Dzong, Drugyel Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, etc.

Day 08: Saturday, 27th December 2014
After breakfast drive to Phuntsholing via Haa Valley (Subject to weather & road condition).
Overnight in Phuntsholing.
Day 09: Sunday, 28th December 2014
Early breakfast & we depart for Bagdogra airport & trip ends on reaching the Airport.

- Children between 5-10 years will be charged at 40% of the trip cost (No Extra Bed)

Between 29 – 15 Days: 60% of Tour Cost
14 days or Less before Trip: 100% of Tour Cost
