Grand view of the plateau below, as well as 'miniature' Neral and the Central Railway line to Karjat can be had from here. Though this point is located way out from the centre of Matheran, some come on horse back and others walking to see the majestic views from here. This scenic point is at the south eastern end of Matheran. Trekkers generally climb to Matheran from Bhivpuri Road railway station to reach this point and then proceed towards Matheran.

Day 1:
5:50 am: We report and board 06:15am Karjat(F) from C.S.T

8:10 am: Breakfast at Bhivpuri.
8:30 am: Start trek to Diksal Village
1:00 pm :Reach Garbut Plateau and Rest
1:15 pm: Walk the forest trail to Matheran
2:30 pm : Reach and Have Lunch @ Matheran
3:15 pm: Check in to the rooms and rest.
4:30 pm: Tea and Snacks
5:00 pm: Visit to Sunset point(capture the sunset) and Explore Matheran (Market, Garden etc.)
7:00 pm: Expressing views for the day.
8:00 pm: Dinner
9:30 pm: Day off.
Day 2:
7:00 am: Wakeup alarm
8:00 am: Tea and breakfast.
9:00 am: Sightseeing of Matheran.
1:00pm: Back to Rooms pack up/Freshen up/ Checkout
1:30 pm: Lunch
2:30 pm: Depart for Dasturi Gate
3:30 pm: Depart for Neral Station
4:00 pm: Snack TIme and we board 4:31pm C.S.T. (Fast)
6:10 pm: Reach C.S.T and depart with Fond memories and new friends..and wait for the next adventure...Stay Connected...
Things to be carried:
Identity proof(Must)
2 liter of water, (Must)
Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes
Good trekking shoes, extra pair of socks
Camera (Optional)
Windcheater, Raincoat,
Cap, etc.
Medicine those if you require usually
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking. (Please do not carry sling bags or Jholas.)
Instructions:
-The rooms allotted will be on a triple sharing basis( 3 person per room non AC).
-Dasturi to Neral transfer on 5 pax( non AC vehicle).
-Do Not Litter
-No Smoking, tobacco and alcohol
-Respect the Heritage
-Be a Group
-Pay attention
In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; The Tern Travellers, it’s instructors, organizers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
Any violation of the above rules will be dealt with seriously, and may involve expulsion from the trek or event, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of occurrence of any natural calamities, if event is cancelled, in such circumstances NO REFUND will be provided.
The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
Camp Fees: Rs. 1950/-
Advance amount of 50% to be paid for registration
Booking will be confirmed on receiving FULL PAYMENT.
Advance amount is NON-REFUNDABLE..
FEES INCLUDE:
-Train charges from C.S.T. -Karjat and Karjat-C.S.T.
- Check in, Lunch, Dinner and snacks (1st day breakfast NOT included)
-First Aid Kit
-Expertise charges
-Transfer from Dasturi Gate to Neral Station
FEES EXCLUDE:
-BREAKFAST(1st DAY)
-Personal Expenses
-Laundry
-Mineral Water
-Any such thing that is not mentioned in the FEES INCLUDE section.
