Short Info:
Salher is a place located near Waghamba in Nasik district of Maharashtra, India.
According to a legend, Lord Parshuram did his Tapascharya at Salher Fort.After winning the earth and giving it as donation; he made land for himself to live in, by pushing the sea back with his arrows, right from this place.
History says that in Year 1340, Baglan’s king Mandev was the Ruler of this fort.
The perimeter of the Salher fort is around 11 Kms encompassing an area of around 600 hectares.
Baglan is the fertile region being fed by the rivers Mokshaganga and Akshaganga. This is one of the areas rich in agricultural productivity, forests and wealth and the villagers here are quite well to do. Still, there are tribes like the Kokan and Bhils living on these hills.

13th Dec: Overnight joureny towards base village (11:30 pm from Dadar)
15th Dec: Post breakfast start descending visit Salota (it time permits). Lunch at base village. Post lunch proceed back towards Mumbai.
