Harishchandragad is situated in Nagar district. Height of this fort is 4510 ft above sea level. Semicircular concave rock-face called 'KOKAN KADA' is a major attraction for trekkers. The near vertical drop of '1800 ft' is a sight to behold.
History: Harishchadragad has reference in various ancient scriptures, its origin is said to have been in 6th century, during the rule of Kalchuri dynasty. A famous sage ‘Changdev’ has spent time on this fort and wrote 'Tatvasaar' in the 14th century. The Marathas has conquered this fort in 1747 from Mughals.

•Friday 6th Dec 2013 – First pick up 10.30 pm Borivali East – Near 700 a.c. bus Stop.
•Second pick up 11.30 pm Thane East Railway ticket counter.
•On 7th Dec 2013 at 6.00 am we will reach at the base village Pachanai.
•After tea, breakfast and fresh-up we will start our trek to Harishchandragad.
•Lunch on Harishchandragad and after rest at evening we will see Konkan Kada.
•Night stay at Harishchadragad.
•On 8th Dec 2013 after tea and breakfast we will visit Taramati peak and return down to base village.
•After lunch we will head towards Mumbai.
•We will reach Mumbai by 9.00 pm
•Contribution per person is Rs. 1600/-
(This includes tea, breakfast, lunch, snacks & dinner and private transport from Borivali to Borivali).
