Short Info:
Ratangad is a hill fort near Ratan Wadi, Maharashtra, India, overlooking the locale of Bhandardara, one of the oldest artificial catchment areas. The fort is about 2000 years old. Ratangad has a natural rock peak with a cavity in it at the top which is called ‘Nedhe’ or ‘Eye of the Needle’. Ratangad was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosle and was one of his favorites. The base village Ratanwadi has an Amruteshwar temple which is famous for its carvings. The fort is origin for the river Pravara/Amrutvahini. The Bhandardara dam is built on this river.

Schedule :
- Overnight journey towards Kasara By train on Saturday Night. Further by Local transport to base village (Ratanwadi).
- Reach base village by 6:00 am. Rest.
- Visit Amruteshwar temple .
- Breakfast at 7:30 am. “Let us know” each other Session.
- Start Ascending. Reach At top 10 .30 a.m.
- Rest and Lunch.
- Post Lunch explore the fort, Start descending At 2 p.m.
- Reach at base village evening refreshment and move towards Kasara .
