Trek to Himalayas at Sour Tal Pass 12150 ft
Short Info:
Trek to Sour Tal (3700m) Lake (A Group of Frozen Mountain Tarns) is one of the few unexplored, less known & most spectacular and impressive treks of the Kullu valley. This is a very challenging & scenic, summer high-altitude trek. Starting from the Prini Base Camp the trek winds through the Dhauladhar range of Chhota Bhangal region through lush green valleys, high-altitude meadows and dazzling landscapes. To keep you company, are the peaks of the Pir- Panjal range in the Hamta region – viz., Indrasan, Inderkilla, Shirgan- Tungu, and Deo-Tibba. RohtangPass, CB range & Beas Kund massifs can also be seen at a distance. Trek leaves Manali valley, proceeds further through evergreen cool forests of cedar, Silver fir, walnut, oak, Silver birch and the occasional alder.

Schedule:
Day1: 08th May,2013 : Reporting to Base Camp ‘Prini” 6000 Ft. And Short Briefing and Introduction Session.
Day2: 09th May, 2013: After Breakfast and Tea. Trek to Camp-1 “Klount”. Lunch and Rest. Evening Session with Bush Craft and Commando Net Climbing. Dinner and Campfire. Rest.
Day 3: 10th May, 2013: After Breakfast and Tea. Trek to Camp-2 “Dudhu-Dhog”. Lunch and Rest. Evening Session with Rapelling. Dinner and Campfire. Rest.
Day4: 11th May, 2013: After Breakfast and Tea. Trek to Camp-3 “Laangha Thach”. Lunch and Rest. Evening Session with Tyrolean Traverse (River Crossing). Dinner and Campfire. Rest.
Day5: 12th May, 2013: Snow Trek to Sour Tal Frozen Lake (12150 ft/3700mtr). Return to Laangha Camp. Sledging on Snow. Snow Rafting and Glissading. Evening Rest. Dinner And Camp fire And Rest.
Day6:13th May, 2013: After Breakfast and Tea. Trek to Camp-4 “Mahili Thach/Dudhu Pathar”. Lunch and Rest. Evening Session with Flying Fox. Self Cooking and Night Out in Wilderness.
Day7: Arriving Back to Camp from Wilderness. Breakfast. Return Trek to Mohila Village. Catching Bus to Manali and then to Prini Base camp. Rest. Lunch and Dinner At Base Camp. Rest.
Day8: After Breakfast and Tea. Drive Towards Kullu for Much awaited River Rafting on Beas River. Back to Base Camp. Returning of Issued Equipments. Evaluation Of Trekking Program. Celebrations with Presentation Of DJ. Night Rst.
Day 9: After Breakfast. Farewell Ceremony. After 10’00am free for Market and shopping. Back to Base camp by 2’00 clock. Lunch. Leave Back for yor Destiantions Delhi/Chandigarh. Trek Concludes With Sweet Memories.
Inclusions:
1. Tents, Sleeping bags (Holofil), Rucksack, Wind / Water Proof Jackets (Gore-tax) and Carry mats.
2. Ponchos (Water Proof).
3. A Portable Hyperbaric Chambers (Inflatable PAC) – GAMOW BAG- Severe Altitude Diseases i.e. AMS, HAPO and HACO would place at High Camps only.
4. Oxygen Cylinder.
5. Excellent food of your choice. VEGETARIAN FOOD.
6. Complete camping facilities.
7. Guide, Cook and camp helpers.
8. Horses with horsemen to carry loads if the route requires (logistics).
9. High altitude porters to carry loads if the route requires (logistics).
10. Tent age accommodation on arrival and on the last day of trek at Base Camp.
11. Camping style of bathing and toilets would be provided at Base Camp.
12. The participants would be provided hot water shower / bathing at Base Camp.
13. Tentage accommodation will be provided during trekand mountain way of toilets at higher camps.
14. Either four persons will be accommodated in one tent or could be more as per a size of tent.
15. Technical equipment — Rock Climbing & Rappelling equipment.
16. The participants will be transferred from trek end 17 Miles to Base Camp by Local routine Buses.
Exclusions:
1. Transport Delhi/ Manali / Delhi and to & from the campsite.
2. Personal expenses and sightseeing in and around. Cancellation, Insurance and Risk and Release, Emergency evacuation costs, there will be no refund of payments once the trek commences and Camera Fees.
3. The Personal porterage and horses are for carrying of individual kit and Tipping.
