Matheran is a very famous hill station and popular weekends get away for mumbaikars. No motor vehicles are allowed in Matheran which makes it peaceful & pollution free hill station.
Garbut Point is situated 5 km from Matheran Market. This is large place but generally ignored point of Matheran.
Garbut Point is flanked by a gorgeous valley on one side and the thick jungle on the other. Gradual climb of nearly 9 kms from Bhivpuri lead us to Garbut point.
Garbut Point is a place from where enthralling views of sunrise and sunset can be observed.
Tour Schedule:
1st Meeting Point Dadar Station 6:15 am
Take Karjat Fast local 06:30 am from Dadar station (CENTRAL LINE) on Sunday, June 23, 2013.
Train will halt at Ghatkopar - 6:45, Thane - 7:00, Kalyan - 7:20 am.
In case if first train is missed we can take second Karjat train from Dadar at 7.03 am
2nd Meeting point Bhivpuri station.
We will reach Bhivpuri Station by 8:35 am
After Tea breakfast we will start our trek to Garbut point
We will reach Matheran at around 1.30 pm.
After lunch we will take some rest, free time to shop at Matheran market
We will start walking towards Dasturi Naka at around 3.30 pm.
We will take a cab and reach down to Neral station at 4.30 pm
We will reach Mumbai by 6.30 pm
Trek Fees:
Contribution per person is Rs. 500/-
(This includes tea, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and private transport from Matheran Dasturi Naka to Neral railway station). Participant need to take Karjat return ticket.

Confirmation of names for Participation is subject to payment of trek fee (Rs. 500/-)
