The monsoon is just setting in and our beloved Western Ghats are blooming with new life. The dust has been washed off the trees and a new glow of green seems to have over taken the countryside. This is the perfect time to be out there in the lap of Mother Nature, away from this urban jungle and experience the rains in their purest form.
To begin this season, we are heading to the mighty Sudhagad in the Pali region. Literally meaning, the sweet one in Marathi, this fort has a rich heritage and several mentions in the history of Marathas, it is in better condition than most others of this region. It commands a beautiful view of the Bhor pass, which it used to protect in the olden days and offers a fantastic trekking experience.
The trek will begin at Thakurwadi and would require at least 2 hours of climbing to summit the peak! We are expected to return to Bombay by 2000-2100 hrs depending on the traffic situation.
Here's the plan.
The Breakfree Bus will leave from Borivali(McDonald's) at 530 AM and proceed on the Western Express Highway passing through Goregaon-Andheri-Bandra(Ka lanagar), further it will take the Sion-Chembur-Vashi-Panvel route to eventually join the NH17 to continue upto Pali.
We will be very happy to pick you up from any point on the given route.
Cost: Rs. 900 inclusive of Breakfast, Lunch, Transport and whole lotta fun!
A maximum of 15-18 participants will be allowed on the trek.
We normally do not accept advance payments and rely on your oral/written confirmation to block seats. Therefore it is advisable that you consult your prior commitments before confirming a seat rather than cancelling/backing out at the last moment much to inconvenience of everybody.
Kindly note:
1. We recommend Action Trekking Shoes; running/gym shoes normally give away to the tough terrain and become useless.
2. Carry at least 2 litres of water with you along with some dry snacks.
3. Consumption of Alcohol, Narcotic substances and cigarettes is prohibited and may lead to possible expulsion from the trek, and an early expulsion from Natural Habitat.
4. Windcheaters are recommended, avoid carrying umbrellas.
