VRangers one day Monsoon trek to Mrug gad on 9th Jun 2013

Mrugagd is also known as bheliv cha killa as this name because of nearest village name.this
fort consists of some water cistern and nice route to reach the top of the fort. On top the
entire part looks like remnants of any palace. When you reach the other end of the fort you
can see one ridge, 'Machi' going towards village side.

which includes traveling from Lowjee to Lowjee by Local Transport Jeep/ST/Tum tum,
breakfast & refreshment.

Trek Schedule:
Rangers should get into this local from their respective stations with Khopoli Return ticket
in Second last Compartment & get down at Lowjee Station. From here we will reach the
base village by Local Transport Jeep/ST/Tum tum.
Train Timings: Karjat (S) slow Local
CST 5.18 am Dadar 5.36 am
Kurla 5.47 am Ghatkopar 5.53 am
Bhandup 6.02 am Thane 6.12 am
Dombivali 6.34 am Kalyan 6.44 am
Ambernath 6.56 am Karjat 7.40 am
Catch this local from your respective stations & meet on Karjat Railway Station, will catch
Khopoli local train to reach lowjee station.
Karjat 8.15 am
Lowjee 8.34 am

Tentative Schedule:
08.40 am: will move from lowjee station to belive village.
09.40 am: will reach to base village of Mrug gad.
09.50 am: with Intro round will start for the trek.
11.00 am: will reach to top of the fort & explore fort.
12.30 am: will start descend to base village.
01.30 pm: Back to village.
01.40 pm: start to move towards khopoli or Lowjee .
02.40 pm: will reach to Lowjee station.
02.55 pm: will catch the train for Mumbai station.
05.00 pm: Back to dadar.

Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry for the trek:
Compulsory items:
A proper two sided haversack to put all the things, So that one has hands free while
trekking, id proof, Approx 3 ltr water, Sunday Lunch , Torch with extra batteries, some
snacks, Should ware good trekking shoes, full sleeve shirt/T-shirt & Full Pant, if you have
any medical issue please carry your own medicine as we carry only First aid, carry some extra
cloths, Raincoat.
Non compulsory items:
Cap, Sunglasses, Woolen Jacket, Camera , Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry, mosquito’s
repellent, Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution.
