It has gardens, a nursery, lakes, an observation pavilion, picnic facilities, and milk plants. The colony is spread over 16 square kilometres (4,000 acres) and is located off the Western Express Highway. Among the attractions in it are Chhota Kashmir with a lake and a picnic spot. The colony has restaurants and gardens and an observation pavilion. It is also used for film shootings.   As we Cycle in an around we can spot buffaloes, hay stacks, calves and derelict homes. The lake is unmissable, and we see people sedately paddling in paddleboats around the lake. The uphill road is past the Aarey Police Chowk. Towards the western side of this range we can find forts  like Alang , Madan and the Kalsubai peak.
