NOMAD HIKERS moonlight (stargazing) trek to Korigad (lonavala)

fees : 450/-only (including lonavala to lonavala travelling, brkfast Sunday morning and all expertise charges)
History : Shivaji Maharaj incorporated this fort in Swarajya along with Lohgad, Visapur, Tung and Tikona in 1657. On March 11, 1818, Col. Prother invaded this fort but could not succeed even after prolonged fighting. Finally he succeeded on 14th March, by dropping a cannon ball where the ammunition was stored. Along with this fort the English also conquered Ghangad.

09:30 Pm: dinner
10:30 pm: campfire and all activities including experience sharing
00:00 am: sleeping under 5 billions stars & natural air conditioned
06:00 am: wake n start exploring fort and all fun including dip into pond (if possible)
08:30 am: start descending

A Night Under the Stars.
SGNP is ready to host Mumbaikars' seeking a pure, nocturnal wilderness experience, filled with interesting natural history and interstellar insights! Do make use of this opportunity as the forest promises to awe-inspire you all with a scintillating camping delight.
Date: 16th April, Saturday (Evening) to 17th April, Sunday (Morning)
Age Group: Open for All.
Itinerary:
Saturday 16th April
05.00 PM — Report at Nature Information Center (NIC)
05.15 PM — Tea / Coffee
05. 30 PM — Slide show on SGNP (or Stars in the sky)
06.15 PM — Proceed to the campsite
06.30 PM — Room allocation and light refreshments
07.00 PM — Star Gazing guided by professional experts
09.00 PM — Back to campsite for dinner
10.30 PM — Lights out
Sunday 17th April
05.00 AM — Wakeup call
05.30 AM — Tea / Coffee
06.00 AM — Nature trail
10.00 AM — Breakfast at the campsite
10.30 AM — Camp Closure
Camp Costs: INR 2,000/- per head
(inclusive of accommodation, food, internal travel, all sessions and resource people)
Maximum number of participants: 25
Information and Instructions:
Accommodation: Well executed tented dormitory accommodations with comfortable bedding and blankets will be provided. Accommodations will be separate for males and females (advisable to carry your warm clothing as well; nights in the forest do get chilly); Clean and Hygienic toilets and bathrooms; separate for males and females; Any special requests for family accommodations can be handled by prior communications and will be separately chargeable.
Meals and Refreshments: Simple, hygienic, sumptuous vegetarian meals will be provided. Though not needed, Campers may carry their own dry-snacks as well.
Resource persons:
Well trained naturalists and educators will accompany the campers and help answering queries about biodiversity.
Star gazing session will be conducted by experts with good quality, high magnification telescopes.
Travel: All travel in the camp starting from NIC and back to NIC is covered. We discourage participants to bring their own vehicles.
Onsite assistance: The camp will be guided by 2 forest guards and resource persons. Any help needed should be communicated to them.
Things to carry:
a) Water bottle to fill in water for outdoor sessions
b) Cap, Warm Clothing as per your own need.
c) Good footwear (canvas shoes or snickers are fine). NO chappals/slippers.
d) Earth coloured (grey, brown, green) cotton shirt & jeans. Drab coloured Shalwar kameez is ok. Wearing full clothes is advisable.
g) Binocular and camera are not a must, but they will enhance the quality of your experience.
h) Personal medicines and toiletries if any are needed.
i) Avoid carrying valuables (gold ornaments, ipads, too much cash etc.)
j) Insect repellents.
k) Torch or a decent headlamp is highly essential

Camping in the Great Himalayan National park
The Great Himalayan National Park is carved out of the splendid mountain terrain of Kullu district, and is the largest protected area in Himachal Pradesh. Great Himalayan National Park is also a World Heritage Site. The secluded Sainj and Tirthan valley harbors a variety of wildlife common to this area – wild mountain goats like the Bharal, Goral, and Serow, the Himalayan Brown Bear and predators like the Leopard and the very rare Snow Leopard. Birds like Himalayan Pied Kingfisher, Brown Dipper, Bearded Vulture, and Himalayan Parakeet can be seen during the trek.
Charges: Rs. 22,100/- for Members and Rs. 23,600/-for others. (ex-Delhi)

Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary
Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is situated north of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), and forms a corridor for animals between SGNP and Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary. This trail is lined with dense mixed deciduous forest. During this season one can see birds like Rufous Treepie, Yellow-eyed Babbler, Crested Serpent Eagle, Brown-headed Barbet, Shikra, and many more. Grade: Easy
Charges: Rs. 700/- for members and Rs. 800/- for others (Charges include transportation, entry, and BNHS expertise).
Reporting: Bus will leave from Dadar T.T. (near Chandu Halwai) at 6:30 a.m., Andheri (near Bisleri factory) at 6:50 a.m., Borivali, Opp. Sanjay Gandhi National Park (near Omkareshwar temple) 7.10 a.m., Ghodbundar Jn. (Hotel Fountain) 7:30 a.m.

About Rajmachi : A small village in the rugged mountains of Sahyadri in India. The fortification at Rajmachi consists of two forts, namely Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan Fort. Rajmachi Fort is a popular trekking destination at the height of 3000 ft, also it is a regular trek.
Charges for the trekking will be 2000 per person which would thereby include travelling, food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) also tents would be provided!
Coming to the peculiar part of the trek, as mentioned above it is a musical trek wherein live band session, karaoke, camping & fort exploration will be conducted too.
The trek is on 23rd and 24th of April 2016 (Saturday and Sunday)

We Kolhapur Hikers Coming With Our Basic Adventure Activities Camp On 25th April To 30th 2016 at Ratnadurg Fort (Ratnagiri).
Adventure integrates physical and mental challenges, promoting personal growth and mental acuity useful in other areas of life. It must focus on solutions that will get them to their destination while hazarding dangers that may keep them from it. The best routes, weather conditions, and health, all are subject to change; a new route must be planned or an effective way to ration dangerously low air supplies must be found. 4. Each participant will be responsible for his/her own safety &
baggage.
5. Avoid wearing gold or other ornaments.
6. Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
