RAHI Explorers Canyon Valley Trek(The waterfall trek!) Details Canyon Valley Waterfall (320 ft) is located between Lonavala and Khandala, happens to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls located close to the city. Its the only waterfall which remains active during summer as well, a very good spot to beat the summer heat. Along the Ulhas river, from Khandala till Karjat is a valley which is known as Canyon / Ulhas / Tiger valley. While crossing the ghat, if you ever spotted the strong gushing of a waterfall at all times of the year and wondered which spot was that, this was it. It was Canyon Valley Waterfall!   Date : 3rd April, 2016. Grade : Medium. Location : Lonavala. Cost: Rs. 550/- per person. Itinerary : Mumbai Participants: Catch Indrayani Express starting 05:40am from CST and get down at Lonavala Station 07:58am.   Pune Participants: Catch Pune-Lonavala local and get down at Lonavala Station by 08:00am.   08.05am: Near ticket counter (Lonavala (W) After having breakfast will start moving towards the valley. The initial path till the waterfall is a full descend trek. After spending sometime near the big waterfall will proceed for having lunch right inside the mystic valley.   The journey from here onwards changes completely, will have to cautiously cross across a small water pool to reach the point inside the valley where it will be an all ascending trek till we reach the main Mumbai Pune NH4 highway on the top. This ascend demands strong legs and fitness. We will reach back to lonavala station by 05:00pm to catch the return train to Mumbai/Pune. Brief Information about the Tour:- Leh - a high-desert city in the Himalayas is the capital of the Leh region in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir state. Originally a stop for trading caravans, Leh is now known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking. Massive 17th-century Leh Palace, modelled on the Dalai Lama's former home (Tibet's Potala Palace), overlooks the old town's bazaar and maze-like lanes. Ladakh is a region in the Indian Administered Jammu and Kashmir that currently extends from the Kuen Lun mountain range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. Monastery: - During the long course of its history, Ladakh was ruled by several dynasties who brought their culture, religion and traditions to this region, giving it a unique feature. As far as religion is concerned, Buddhism is followed here by a major portion of the population. Irrespective of the rugged terrain and remote inaccessible areas, monks and preachers passed through them and built monasteries all over the place. There are are innumerable monasteries in Ladakh, some in ruins while others are still in inhabited, running as educational and religious centres. This festival is meant for nature lovers, marine turtle enthusiasts, tourists and people who just want to witness this moment, at least  once in a lifetime!   Harihareshwar Surrounded by four holy hills Harihar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri and Pushpadri Harihareshwar is a region in Konkan which is amazingly beautiful with hills  playing the perfect foil for long stretch of pristine beach. The Harihareshwar temple built in the 16th century with the deities of Vishnu Brahma and  Shiva is the primary attraction in Harihareshwar along with beautiful stretch of beach.   Velas is a village in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. It is noted as a birthplace of Nana Phadnis. He was sachiva- a secretary in Peshawai in Pune. Accommodation consists of a simple, homely dormitory style (no separate rooms).   Bankot is a square shaped fort. On the sides of Bankot fort, there is a dry moat (Revni) dug out in the Jambhya stone.
