Tung fort is about 20kms from Lonavala at an elevation of 1075 m above sea level.  After the construction of Pawna dam,  it got surrounded by water on three sides. Its sharp conical peak makes Tung Fort a prominent landmark even from a distance. The fort has a Balle Killa which has a temple atop it. It also has a water reservoir.
