DarkGreen Adventures invites you for a mind-soothing night trek to Bhimashankar via Ganesh ghat route.  Since this trek is on Amavasya, you will get pitch dark view of the forest surrounding Bhimashankar. Accommodation is provided in a hut amidst the jungles of Bhimashankar. There are two main trek routes to Bhimashankar – Ganesh ghat and sidhi ghat. Ganesh ghat passes through tranquil forests of Bhimashankar.   Kindly note that non-veg food is not allowed for this trek.   Itinerary: 9th January, Saturday: 19:30 – Assemble at thane station platform number 3 and take the slow local train to Karjat at 8pm. Take return tickets till karjat. 21:30 – Reach Karjat. This is the actual meeting point. DarkGreen Adventure invites you for a day trek in Karnala Sanctuary. Karnala Bird Sanctuary is located near Panvel with an area of 12.11 km2. It is centred around historic karnala fort and home to about 150 species of bird including three rare birds i.e. Ashy Minivet, three toed kingfisher and Malabar Trogon. Trek to the karnala fort is an absolute beginner's trek amidst the natural flora and fauna of the enclosed sanctuary. The relative ease of this trail also provides an excellent opportunity for parents to introduce their children to trekking and nature. After a final walk up to the bastion, one is presented with a splendid 360 degree view of the surrounding Raigad district. A 125 ft high basalt pillar sticks out like a thumb at the centre of the peak.
