Prabalmachi is a quaint little village hidden in the hills of old Mumbai-Pune highway.This village is the base village to trek up the Prabalgad/ Kalavantin forts. We plan to climb up to Prabalmachi in the late evening, stay up there in our tents on the plateau and enjoy the peace that this place has to offer.Date : 7th-8th November 2015.Height : Appx 2300 ft .Region : Panvel.Grade : Medium.Itinerary :Day 1 : 7th Nov. One Can see it from express highway a V-Shaped one. The Left one is Kalwantin Durg & right side is Prabalgad. One reason for people taking interest in the Taj Mahal is romanticism associated with the monument but Kalavantin Durg is another fort in India that is supposed to have been built for a queen. It is 2,330 ft high but no one knows much about its history.
