Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, about 58 km from Nagpur, is spread over Pauni, Umred, Kuhi and Bhivapur Taluka. This Sanctuary has also connection with Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve through forest along Wainganga River. The sanctuary is home to resident breeding Tigers, herds of Gaur, Wild dogs and also rare animals like Flying squirrels, Pangolins and Honey badger. According to a recent report in the India Times 11 Tigers, six Leopards are in the sanctuary, in addition to Wild dogs, Sloth bears, Gaurs Nilgais, Spotted deer, Sambar deer etc.  Itinerary:Day 1: Leave for Nagpur at 20:15 by 12289 Nagpur Duronto Express.Overnight in train.Day 2: Arrive at Nagpur and leave for Umred. Trek to the Toughest range of Shayadri !! About the Tour :  Alang & Madan, situated in Kalsubai range, are one of the most difficult fort treks in Nasik District. Alang (4852 ft):The beautiful Alang Fort lies in the Nashik region. Top of the fort is huge plateau. There are two caves on the fort for staying and 11 water cisterns arranged in a Cascade formation & a dilapidated storage room. Mandan (4841 ft):Madangad is considered to be one of the most difficult forts to climb among all the forts in the Sahyadris. The area of the fort is quite small as compared to Alang and Kulang, its adjoining forts. There are only two water tanks on top of the fort. The area visible from the top of the fort is quite scenic.
