Hello Wanderers,We are glad to invite you for exploring mystery of Lonar Crater on 7th-8th November 2015.                                                           *picture sourced from internet About the Place:  Lonar is one of Maharashtra's best-kept secrets. Home to the Earth's only hyper-velocity impact crater in basaltic rock, Lonar is named after the demon, Lonasura, and is ringed by fascinating temples, including one with erotic sculptures reminiscent of Khajuraho. The crater was formed fifty-two thousand years ago, when a meteor crashed into the earth at an estimated speed of 90,000kmph, weighing 2 million tonnes. It gouged a hole that was 1.8km wide and 150m deep. Over time, the jungle took over, and a perennial stream transformed the base into a tranquil, green locale. From the pack of meteors that plummet towards the Earth  – anywhere from 30,000 to 1,50,000 each year –  this is the Earth's largest and only hyper-velocity impact crater in basaltic rock. Bhutan...Land of the Thunder Dragon Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country in South Asia located at the eastern end of the Himalayas. It is bordered to the north by China and to the south, east and west by India. The Bhutanese pride themselves on a sustainable approach to tourism in line with the philosophy of Gross National Happiness. Bhutan holds many surprises. This is a country where the rice is red and where chillies aren't just a seasoning but the main ingredient. It's also a deeply Buddhist land, where monasteries are part of the mainstream, and where giant protective penises are painted beside the entrance to many houses. While it visibly maintains its Buddhist traditions, Bhutan is not a museum. You will find the Bhutanese well educated, fun loving and vibrant. When you visit Bhutan, you will become one of the few who have experienced the natural charm of the first country where Gross National Happiness is deemed more important than Gross National Product. So why spend your money to come here? Firstly there is the amazing Himalayan landscape, where snowcapped peaks rise above shadowy gorges cloaked in primeval forests. Taking up prime positions in this picture-book landscape are the majestic fortress-like dzongs and monasteries. This unique architecture embodies Buddhist culture and sets the scene for spectacular tsechus (dance festivals)---------------------------------------------------------------------Exciting Bike ride covers below places:1. Simtokha Dzong :- the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built in 16272. Trashichhoedzong :- situated on the banks of Wang Chhu3. Thimpu valley view point4.
