WSR One Day Bike/Car Ride to Lavasa on 17th Oct 2015   A Dream ride to LAVASA. for All Bike Riders 30 km of ghat, mountain road. City situated in between mountain. It is link between the nature and city. Where you will get hardcore memories. Photographers and passionate bikers will enjoy their ride. For Mumbaikar's will have double fun as they will drive from Mumbai – Pune – Lavasa Date: - 17th October 2015 ( Saturday ) Mumbai  - 5:45 am at Panvel MC D - 6 :45 am at Khandala - 9:00 am at pune at Jangli Maharaj road - Breakfast and Will meet Punekar's and start the ride towards LAVASA at 10:00 am For Punekar's - 9:00 am at Jangli Maharaj road For Mumbaikar's & Puneker's :D - start the ride towards LAVASA at 10:00 am - Will reach around 01:00 pm at base of Lavasa - Explore Lavasa and Lunch  - Back to Pavilion (home) at 4:00 pm - Reach pune by 5 :30 pm and Mumbai by 9 :30 pm   The Cost for the event: WSR will pay for the food and accommodation of all the participants which will be equally divided among every member of the trek after the event. Rs. 200 extra will be added to the same (per person), considered as the administration charges for WSR. Expected Expenses: 800 - 1000 per person (excluding Petrol/ Maintenance) Petrol and Maintenance cost is settled by the bike owner and the person accompanying him/her. In case, of a single rider, the petrol and maintenance charges has to be paid by rider alone. Group Size: 20 participants per Batch. Prior Event Lead: Yamini Mande experience in rappellingrequired. About Harishchandragad Harishchandragad is a hill fort in the Ahmednagar region of India. Its history is linked with that of Malshej Ghat. The height of the fort is 4671 ft. The most interesting point on this fort is this cliff, which has always fascinated many people from many years. The cliff faces west and looks down upon the Konkan. From here, one can have a breathtaking view of the surrounding region and the setting sun. This cliff is not just vertical, but it is an overhang, almost like a cobra's hood. The Konkankada, a unique formation in the Sahyadris, is really tough and a challenge for the trekkers. This is a semicircular cliff of about 2,000 ft straight drop + 1000 ft slant fall in the Konkan plains. The surrounding grandeur and beauty of the plains and the mountains leaves us totally spellbound. It is one of the highest direct fall cliffs to be found in Maharashtra and Western Ghats.
