Not much information about the route is available as this is a comparitively untrodden route for cyclists.... AND THATS THE FUN OF IT We would also encounter a multitude of challenges, making this is a memorable trip for all those who are young at heart. Day 01: Kamshet to Khandi or little Beyond .... 45 to 50 kms We reach Kamshet as early as possibe and start our cycling from Kamshet. We start cycling towards vadgaon and get off the Road at Kanhe. We cross the little hamlets of Mau, Nagathali and reach Vadeshwar. At this point we first touch the Andhra Dam waters and start circuiting the lake from the left. Further riding for 21 kms we reach village Khandi. We will then look out for a good camping site near the village for our night stay. Pitching your own tents and cooking your food at the camp site adds to the fun Overnight at the camp site that we set up. (B, L, D…) Day 02: Khandi to Kamshet 54 kms We have an early breakfast and leave Khandi village and ride further keeping the lake to our right. As such this region having an altitude of around 12,000 to 13,000 feet and covering an areas of 7000 sq km remain totally cut off. Zanskar river which takes it form onwards Padum after merging with its different tributaries flows in a north-easterly direction through the dramatic Zanskar gorge and merging with Indus river; the confluence being at Nimmu, just on the outskirts of Leh on the Leh-Kargil road. Chadar trek is one of the most thrilling and adventurous trek in India in the local language "chadar" means blanket. From Sonla to Panchaculi Glacier is a 40kms trek. The route to the glacier abounds in exotic scenery, anowcapped mountains,, gushing streams, alpine meadows and a rich variety of flora and fauna. And from the glacier one can see the Panchachuli peaks in their towering Glory. Ensconced by the river Dhauli Ganga, Sobla is the entry point of the Darma valley.
