Posted: 04 Sep 2015 06:00 PM PDT Camera, Rains and Camping in misty hills with BNHS A power packed camp to Mahuli Hills Tucked away in the foothills of the Mahuli range, on the border of Thane and Palghar districts, the location of this nature camp is ideal to enjoy the lush green forest in monsoon. This camp organized by BNHS aims at giving an exquisite camping experience in the rains. With naturalist experts to guide, one will enjoy their encounters with butterflies, birds, frogs and wild flowers. To add to the experience, the participants will be trained on how best to capture nature's beauty in the camera. The day will include trails through the forest to explore nature's wonders. As a part of these trails there will be training sessions in macro photography. To capture the monsoon colors of the Mahuli hills, sessions in landscape photography will also be conducted, along with a special session on photo post processing. Besides the day's outings, there will be short night trails to peep in to the fascinating world of the creatures of the night like the fire flies, crickets, moths, frogs, lizards, snakes and bats. The highlight of this programme though is camping. The experience of outdoor camping is indeed an enjoyable one, but one needs to be 'camp-ready' for it. To make it a wholesome experience, participants will be provided a basic training in tent pitching and camping. Additionally, they will be briefed about the essentials in trekking and adventure activities too. Accommodation: on sharing basis in tents Reporting: Bus will leave from Dadar T.T. (near Chandu Halwai) at 06:30 a.m. and Thane (Cadbury Jn.) at 07:10 a.m. Cost: Rs.5,900/- for members of BNHS and Rs.6,500/- for others Registration: Call Hornbill House at 22871202/22821811, Mon–Fri 09:30 a.m. to 05:30 p.m. or e-mail at bnhs.programmes@gmail.com http://www.bnhs.org The post Camera, Rains and Camping in misty hills with BNHS appeared first on Mumbaihikers net. |
