Location: Vihi Waterfall, Kasara. Early Morning depart from Mumbai CST towards Kasara by 06:55 am Fast Kasara local (Detail train schedule will be declared later). One can board the same train from your nearest railway station on central line. Reach Kasara by 9.10 am. On arrival at Kasara, meet up at Ticket counter of Kasara railway station. Meet your leaders, head count and then further proceed towards Vihi village by local transport.   Breakfast and Introduction session at Vihi village. Instruction session at waterfall and start the rappelling activity (09:30am). Enjoy the thrill of Vihi waterfall throughout the day with an amazing rappelling under the expert's guidance. Evening depart to Kasara and then further proceed towards Mumbai by local train.   One has to deposit Full payment into the Bank account to confirm his / her Registration. Dear All21 Trekkers has planned a one day trek 2 Peth aka Kothaligad fort on Sunday 2 AUGUST 2015 ... Hope 2 c u there to ENJOY ...Brief Introduction about Kothaligad / Peth fort : -Height: ~ 3100 feetGrade: MediumTime: ~ Maximum 2.5 hrs from Ambivali, Base VillageLocation: Karjat regionKothaligad is more commonly known as the fort of Peth because the village of Peth is situated at its base. The pinnacle of the Peth can be seen from the village. It looks like a filed surface. On reaching the top of the fort, we see caves carved in huge rocks. The first one is the cave of Goddess, besides which is a water cistern and the last one is the specious Bhairoba cave. A flat floor and well-sculpted pillars are specialty of the cave. Along the Bhairoba cave, steps are carved leading the pinnacle. Four–Five potholes and some cannon balls are scattered in the fort.Itinerary for the Trek is as given below:Note: Members are requested to take return ticket till karjat by their own. Rajmachi - 29th and 30th August 15: Join us on a beautiful adventure to Rajmachi. Rajmachi (Udhewadi) is a small village in the rugged mountains of Sahyadri in India. The fortification at Rajmachi consists of two forts , namely Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan Fort. Rajmachi Fort is a popular trekking destination. It is a very famous fort located near two famous hills of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khanadala  Historically, Rajmachi fort was a strategic fort to control Borghat(ghat between Khopoli and Khandala on Mumbai-Pune route) which was a historical trade route. Rajmachi peak has two fortified structures - the Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan fort. Rajmachi can be reached by 2 ways, the tough route is from Kondivade village near Karjat and it involves climb-up of about 2000 feet. The other route is from Lonavala, which is almost a plain walk of about 15 km. In rainy season this region all the more beautiful with silvery water falls, streams and lush green forests and meadows. Stay in Rajmachi will be dormitory type huts with twin toilets and bathroom. The Huts have been beautifully placed on a location from where you get 360 view of mountains, waterfalls, Forts and a wide plateau where one can play lot of games. Lohagad:Lohagad (Iron fort) is one of the many hill forts of Maharashtra state in India. Situated close to the hill station Lonavala and 52 km (32 mi) northwest of Pune, Lohagad rises to an elevation of 1,033 m (3,389 ft) above sea level. The fort is connected to the neighboring Visapur fort by a small range. There are 4 doors to Lohagad from the nearby village -Lohgadwadi. i.e. 'Ganesh Darwaja' , 'Narayan Darwaja' , 'Hanuman Darwaja' and 'Maha Darwaja'. The fort was under the Maratha empire for the majority of time, with a short period of 5 years under the Mughal empire. Detail of the fort: - Sudhagad is one of the ancient fort in sahyadri. It was the glory of "Bhor state". Initially, sudhagad was called as "Bhorapgad" during empire of Shivaji Maharaj. This fort was named as "Sudhagad".
