Harishchandragad is a hill fort in the Ahmednagar region of India. Its history is linked with that of Malshej Ghat, and it has played a major role in guarding and controlling the surrounding region.Harishchandragad is one of favorite trek of all Trekkers & also called as Trekkers Paradise.What to See:-Konkankada (Konkan Cliff) Trekkers can spend hour n hour by sitting here… one of best attraction point of Harishchandragad. Dear Friends, We at B365 are glad to invite you for a Trek to Harihar Fort on 12th July (Leaving on 11th July Night)  Type : Hill fort Fort Range : Trimbakeshwar District : Nasik Height : 3500 feet Difficulty : Medium Base Village : Nirgudpada Harihar is a beautiful mountain that appears stubborn and intractable with its sphinx-like countenance and its straight-up flight of steps that look mesmerizing. Climbing the stone ladder is like doing a trapeze act in the sky. we have arranged an offbeat night and thrilling trek to fort Harihar in the Trimbakeshwar Region, Nasik. About the fort: Fort Harihar is a triangular massif with sheer vertical walls & edges. The only way up the fort is by climbing rock cut steps in a 70 degree rock edge. There are a couple of caves, a storage house, water tanks, a pond & a temple atop the fort. The top offers one a birds eye view of the entire region & also gives one the gratification of having gotten over the fear of heights. Everest of Maharashtra. It is the highest mountain (5400 feet or 1646 meters) in Maharashtra. It is located in Akole Taluka of Ahmednagar district in northern Sahyadri mountain portion of Western Ghats. Although this is not the highest peak of entire Sahyadri mountain range, highest Sahyadri mountain is Anamudi in Kerala state of india. At the summit is a small temple of Kalsubai. This being the highest peak, it commands a beautiful view.The vastly spread out backwaters of Bhandardara attracts ones attention from the top. To the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej, Harihargad, Brahmagiri, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Bahula, Tringalwadi, Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha, Vishramgad, Bitangad, to the west Alang, Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad (south west) and to the south Pabhargad, Ghanchakkar, Harishchandragad can be seen.
