SV :: BIKE Ride to Satara, Mahabaleshwar on Friday 6th March 2015 to 8th March 2015

Dear All,
We @ शिखरवेध are glad to announce Three days BIKE Ride to Satara, Mahabaleshwar region on Friday 6th March 2015 to, 8th March 2015in collaboration with Centaurs.
Details are as follow,
We will be riding from Mumbai to Satara - Mahabaleshwar. Enroute we will be visiting following places/ forts,
  1. Kalyangad
  2. Ajinkyatara
  3. Sajjangad
  4. Mahabaleshwar
  5. Pratapgad
  6. Wai-Mandhardevi-bhor route
The itinerary for the Event is as given below,
We will be going via Panvel-Pune-Satara Road. We will be doing around 700Km journey in three days.

Day 1: Friday 6th March 2015
.
06:15 am: Assemble @ McDonalds, Kalamboli, Panvel Highway.
08:30 am: Breakfast En-route @Loanavala
10:00 am: Meet up Pune participants @ Chandani Chowk
12:30 am: Kalyangad ( Nandgiri fort)
15 mins Trek to Kalyangad, roam around.Explore
02:00 pm: @ Satara
LUNCH (To b borne by participants as per Veg / Non-veg)
03:30 pm: @ Ajinkyatara Fort
Fort Exploration
05:00 pm: @ Sajjangad
Explore
Dinner (Veg only)
Night in Bhakt-Nivas

Day 2: Saturday 7th March 2015
.
05.30 am: Wakeup call
Get Fresh
07.00 am: Breakfast.
07.30 am: Move towards Mahabaleshwar
10:00 am: @ Mahabaleshwar
Mahabaleshwar Exploration,
LUNCH (To b borne by participants as per Veg / Non-veg)
05:00 pm : Move towards Pratapgad
(Tented Camping @ Pratapgad )

Day 3 : Sunday 8th March 2015
.
05:30 am: Wake up call
06:00 am: Pratapgad Exploration
08:00 am: Breakfast
Move towards Mumbai via Wai-Mandhar Devi Road-Bhor.
Lunch
We will be in Mumbai around 19:30 hrs ( thats – subjective)
.
The Estimated expenditure for Ride is abt Rs. 1600 /- per head
This includes Morning Breakfast-Tea, Dinner (veg only) , Evening Tea, Accommodation @ Sajjangad Bhakt-Nivas & Tented Camping @ Pratapgad and Shikhar Vedh Charges.

Other Cost for the event:
A) 3 Lunch to b borne by the participant as per veg / non-veg
B) Bikers have to bear their bike’s fuel expenses by themselves & pillion rider. (In case, of a single rider, the petrol and maintenance charges have to be paid by him alone.)
C) In case of a single rider, we will let u know about pillion’s availability if required.
NOTE:
Max. Bikes will be 15 only … Max. participant wud be 30
***Some Important Instructions those who Registered ***
1. All bikers would have to follow the rules and regulations.
2. All person need to carry Identity proof (Must), Bike’s Legal Papers, Helmet (Must), (Valid Driver’s License, RC Book, Insurance papers and PUC is must)
3. We would check for the license and papers at the start of the ride for every biker, and if any paper is not found in place, the members would not be allowed to ride with us. Note: As there is now regular checking happens near Khandala Exit.
4. Over-speeding will not be tolerated as usual, because mishaps cost yours as well as whole group’s time.
KINDLY NOTE THAT ALL THE ABOVE ‘ON THE FACE’ POINTS ARE DRAFTED JUST TO REACH OUR DESTINATION ON TIME. HENCE, TOTAL CO-OPERATION WOULD BE REQUIRED.
Shikhar Vedh” would not be responsible for any uncertainties happening to him and also the members who accompanies him.
It’s advisable to get your bike Serviced / Repaired before the ride so that we all can have safe ride

Things To Carry:-
Sleeping bags (a must)
A Water Bottle (~2 Ltrs) (a must)
A cap, Camera, Cell Phone, Binoculars (Optional)
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, biscuits etc.
Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
A haversack to put all these things
Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited
.
