About the Tour:
Nandur Madhmeshwar bird sanctuary is located in Niphad, Nashik district of Maharashtra. Located at Godavari river its a harbour for thousands of beautiful and migratory birds. The migratory birds found in this sanctuary are White stork, Glossy Ibis, Spoonbills, Flamingo, Goose, Brahminy Duck, Pintails, Mallard, Wigeon, Gargeny, Shoveller, Pocchards, Cranes, Shanks, Curlews, Pranticole, Wagtails, Godwits, Weavers, etc. There are more than 230 species of birds, out of which 80 are migratory species. The resident birds include Black ibis, Spot billed duck, Teals, Little grebe, Cormorants, Egrets, Herons, Stork, Kites, Vultures, Buzzards, Harriers, Osprey, Quails, Patridges, Eagles, Water hens, Sand Pipe, Swifts, Grey Hornbill, Peafowl, etc.

Outing Schedule :
1.Late night departure from CST to Kasara by local train. Reach Kasara and proceed towards the Nandur-Madhmeshwar Bird Sanctuary. We will start with our 1st nature trail by 07:00 am as soon as the light hits sanctuary looking for ducks, waterhens, and other waders. Breakfast will be post 1st trail. Post breakfast we will move for our 2nd trail looking for raptors , cranes, flamingos and other grassland birds.

2. We will be having our delicious lunch by 12.30 pm. Post lunch we will be doing some more birding at the sanctuary and later leave back for Mumbai by our Private Bus around 4/5pm.
3. We will reach back Mumbai by 9pm with some good lifers added to the list.
