Once again its our pleasure to inform you our this years Naneghat Rappelling and Jivdhan Fort Trek on the occasion of Republic Day. (25 - 26 Jan 2015)

Naneghat = It lies on the road to Ahmednagar from Kalyan.
Total distance by Road – 116 kms from Mumbai to Naneghat.
Region: Malshej
Height : 3750 ft. (Sea Level)
Type: Hill
Grade: Medium
Base Village : Tokawade & Ghatghar
District: Pune
Naneghat is a Mountain pass in the Western Ghats range near Junnar in Pune district of Maharashtra, India. During the reign of the Satavahana (200 BCE–190 CE), the pass was extensively used as a Trade Route between Kalyan and Junnar.
NANEGHAT literally, the name nane means "Coin" and ghat means "pass". The name is given because this path was used as a Tollbooth to collect Toll from Traders crossing the Hills during that era.
Jivdhan (or Jeevdhan) is a Hill Fortress situated 45 kms near modern day town of Narayangaon in Junnar Taluka of Pune district in Maharashtra, India. The fort, which rises 1145 meters (3754 ft) above sea level, is located in the Sahyadri mountain range. The fort was looted and destroyed by the British upon siege between 1815 -1818. This is one of the forts known as 'Famous 5'. Chavaand, Hadsar, Shivneri, Jivdhan and Naneghat form the Famous 5 trek. This is a high difficulty grade trek due to the misleading Jungle Tracks.

(Timings everywhere may vary by 1/2-1 Hr or more, with subject to individual’s pace at Trek and Traffic conditions on Road)
Things to be carried:-
A Water Bottles (1.5 X 2 = 3 Ltrs)
Torch With Extra Battery
Camera, Cell Phone, Mug (Optional)
2-3 bunch of News papers.
Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes.
Some ready to Eat food.(Khakra, Thepla, Kachori, Plum cakes, Biscuits etc)
Medicine those if you require usually (Optional)
Extra Pair of clothes, Good trekking shoes, Plastic Bag for Wet Clothes,
A Small or Medium size Haversack to put all these things so that one has ones hands free while Trekking.
Please do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments
Trek Fees:- INR 2500 per Person, includes travelling from Mumbai to Mumbai also Breakfast, Lunch and Refreshments.
