The winter is upon us and the chill in the air calls for a trip into the wilderness. Join us this Christmas weekend as we head out to a pristine spot by the River Ulhas as we set up camp under the twinkling stars with a roaring fire for company.
Learn how to choose a campsite, set up tent, start survival and cooking fires and join us as we set up a barbecue! Grill some veggies and chicken and gorge on some locally prepared fare under the night sky.
A bonfire will follow and you are welcome to carry your musical instruments to play them well into the night. After a peaceful slumber in the tents, next morning we will brew some coffee on woodfire and head out to the river for a dip.
The campsite is a stone’s throw from the river and after a refreshing bit, we will cook some more breakfast and head back to the environs of Barvi dam for some birding.

The Breakfree Bus will depart from Borivali at 0700 hours on 27th Dec Sat to take the Western Express highway upto Sion and then turn around on the Eastern Express to pass Ghatkopar, Kanjurmarg, Mulund and Thane to eventually hit the NH222 to reach the site.
After visiting Barvi dam the next day, we will turn around for Bombay by 11am to arrive in just in time for lunch and a fantastic Sunday siesta!
Note: Two functional toilets will be available on the site.
4 tents will be set up to accommodate the 10-12 campers.
You are invited to bring along food, ready to make stuff – soups, noodles, coffee.
Consumption of Alcohol, Narcotics or Cigarettes is banned and will lead to immediately expulsion.
