About the Tour :
Ratangad is a hill fort near Ratanwadi, Maharashtra,India, overlooking the local of Bhandardara, one of the oldest artificial catchment areas. The fort is about 2000 years old. Ratangad has a natural rock peak with a cavity in it at the top which is called ‘Nedhe’ or ‘Eye of the Needle’. Ratangad was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosle and was one of his favourites. The base village Ratanwadi has an Amruteshwar temple which is famous for its carvings. The fort is origin for the river Pravara/Amrutvahini. The Bhandardara dam is built on this river. This time we are going to do this trek Vai Samrad Which is base village for Sandhan valley and descend to “Ratnwadi”

Outing Schedule :
Day 0 : Overnight journey towards Kasara By train on Saturday Night. Further by Local transport to base village (Samrad).
Day 1: Reach base village Samrad by 6:00 am. Breakfast at 7:30 am. “Let us know” each other Session. Start Ascending. Reach At top 10 .30 a.m. Rest and Lunch. Post Lunch explore the fort, Start descending at 2 p.m. Reach at base village Ratanwadi evening refreshment. Visit Amruteshvar temple. Drop at Kasara Station by private jeep.
Tour concludes with Happy Memories :)
