The regions to the north of Bombay are generally overshadowed by the hill stations and the beaches to the south. These lesser explored towns are one of the best getaways from the city as we found out on our last recce trip. And the best part is that we are inviting you to join us on a roadtrip here!
Join us, as we explore the lesser known Datiware beach famous for its migratory coastal birds and Shirgaon Fort in Palghar, while we stay on a well equipped farmhouse complete with a pool, surrounded by Chikoo and Chilli plantations, walk with us through the plantations and then wander through the ruins of the Tarapur Fort - another lesser known Portuguese fort, enjoy the silence at the farm and gorge on food prepared with love by our hosts while you try your hand at grilling some meats and veggies.
Spend the night watching the stars and in the morning after breakfast head to Bordi beach and spend some time walking about its long shore, barefoot on the soft sand and observing the winter migrants to its shores. Return to the farm for a shower followed by a sumptous lunch and head back to the city we call home.
We will be accompanied by our biodiversity expert Pravin Subramanian who will lead birding walks on the trip.
