Breakfree Journeys goes for a camp out at Malshej Ghat! 22-23rd November

We are halfway through the month of November and the chill has started to set in rural Maharashtra. And to welcome the season, we invite you to join us on a special camping trip to the mighty Sahyadris!

Nestled in the high hills lies the region of Malshej Ghat. Famous for its waterfalls in the monsoons, its sheer rugged beauty is evident in the winters.

We welcome you to join us on the Breakfree Bus as we head out on the NH-222 to discover the magic of Malshej, this weekend. Interested?

Here’s the plan!

The Breakfree Bus will depart from Borivali at 0900 hours to reach Malshej Ghat at around lunch time. We will grab lunch at a local eatery and then head out to the serene waters of Khireshwar Dam. We will go for a swim or just sit by the shores to observe the Flamingoes that are known to visit it during winters.

 

After a leisurely afternoon, we will head back to our campsite, within a forested patch of land. We will set up tents and start a bonfire and the barbecue. Hot food will be locally prepared and you are invited to join in the cookout!

We will spend the evening under the stars, sitting by the campfire before huddle up in our tents for the night. Next morning we will go for a short hike to the nearby river and return for a sumptuous breakfast. We will clear out the campsite and depart for home right after to arrive in time for a hefty Sunday lunch and a siesta!
