Sanding on the banks of the Kundalika river, Surgad is an interesting fort to climb. The top offers great views of the meandering Kundalika river as it originates from Tamhini Ghat and finds it way to the sea at Roha. The foothills of Surgad are covered with tropical rain forests and the slopes leading to the fort on top look intimidating, but can be conquered easily.
