Guts & Glory – 300 Ft Rappelling from Dukes Nose
The Dukes Nose named after Duke Wellington is a famous landmark visible from the highway as well as railway line in Lonavala. The 800 feet high rock structure is a favorite of all the mountaineers & for years, adventure seekers have been flocking here for trekking, rock climbing, valley crossing, zip line and rappelling.
Now imagine yourself hooked onto the gear & dangling precariously with the 800 feet deep valley below your feet for company. To add to the thrill, the strong winds that buffet the rock face ensure that you take a swing every time you miss a step. That, is precisely the experience of Rappelling off the Dukes Nose. Oh and if that does not get the adrenaline pumping; the experience of Traversing the narrow ledge at the base of Dukes Nose with its sheer drop on one side after completing the Rappel will definitely up the thrill level!
