AFTER 8 SUCCESSFUL BACK TO BACK BATCHES IN LAST SEASON (105 PARTICIPATING MEMBERS SUCCESSFULLY SUMMITED LINGANA ) , WTA CLUB,PUNE INVITES YOU FOR NEW SEASON FOR hardcore trekkers dream trek "LINGANA 1000 ft CLIMBING & RAPPELLING "BATCH 9 ON 9 NOV 2014. Lingana is an obscure fort near the famous Torna fort in Pune district. Being a most difficult fort in Maharashtra it is visited by only few trekkers and that too very few trekkers manage to reach top. The technical expertise needed to climb this fort as reaching summit involves massive 1000 ft technical climbing & while descending approx 600 ft rappelling which requires all mountaineering equipments & certified experience. WILD TREK ADVENTURE CLUB,PUNE will take you to summit of lingana with 100 % safety .WTA CLUB,PUNE will provide all branded equipment to each participating member to assure safety more than 100 %.The Lingana climbing journey brings you the ultimate lifetime adventure & thrilling experience .after reaching summit we will rappel down first approx 180 ft wall to reach the cave on the lingana.Here we will have our Packed Lunch & Energy drinks break. After lunch break we will resume our descend by rappelling down approx 450 ft to reach COL of Lingana and then trek back to our campsite on rayling plateau and then proceed MOHARI village.From MOHARI we will start our return journey. WILD TREK ADVENTURE CLUB,PUNEREG.NO.MH/1479/2013/PUNE WTA CLUB ,PUNE (6th VISIT TO VASOTA & NAGESHWAR CAVE ) TREK INFO: VASOTA FORT (3842ft) Hill Fort Dist: Satara ,Maharashtra Vasota stands tall amidst the dense evergreen forests of the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary and will mesmerize you with its beauty.Each contour of the Vasota hills enhances its beauty many times over. A trek through this dense forest is an exciting and thrilling experience. ONE NEED TO HIRE A BOAT FROM BAMNOLI AND AFTER PLEASANT BOATING OF 1 AND HALF HOUR THE ACTUAL TREK STARTS. Situated on the western edge of the Satara District Vasota is covered in dense forest all the way through. With panoramic view of the shiv saagar lake on the eastern sife and the konkan plains on the west and surrounded by the river Koyna Vasota makes a special treat for trekkers. There are two forts, juna Vasota and navin Vasota. juna Vasota on top of babukada - the second tallest cliff in Maharashtra is not accessible. There are two entrances to the navin Vasota one of which is in a dilapidated state as of now and the fort can be entered through only the second entrance. On entering the fort there is a Hanuman temple which is devoid of a roof. From here the straight path leads to the remnants of the fort. The left path leads to the Kalkaiche Thane. On the way is the Mahadeo temple and ahead of it is Machi with spectacular views of the surrounding region. You can also see the Babukada reminiscent of Konkankad of Harishchandragad. The mountain ahead of Babukada is the old Vasota. BAMNOLI Bamnoli, famous for its natural beauty, is a major tourist attraction located in the Satara District of Maharashtra, at distances of about 36 km from Satara City and 20 km from Kaas Lake. Bamnoli is a village situated on the banks of Shivsagar Lake, which is a backwater lake in the vicinity of Koyna Dam, constructed on River Koyna. Little information about the trek: Grade: Medium Endurance : High Age Limit : Above 10 yrs. Katraj Ghat: the Route which connects Pune to the South Maharashtra.Both, Katraj Tunnel and Sinhgad are connected by a single mountain range of Sahyadri Mountains. Sinhagad: Sinhagad, is a fortress located roughly 30 kilometres southwest of the city of Pune, India. Previously called Kondhana, the fort has been the site of many important battles, most notably the battle of Sinhagad in 1670. It was also strategically located at the centre of a string of other forts such as Rajgad, Purandar and Torna. Perched on an isolated cliff of the Bhuleswar range of the Sahyadri Mountains, it is situated on a hill rising 1312 metres above sea level.Given natural protection by its very steep slopes, the walls and bastions were constructed at only key places; it has two gates – the Kalyan Darwaza in the south-east and the Pune Darwaza in the north-east.
