Over 52,000 years ago a meteorite came hurtling towards the third rock from the sun, that we call home and crashed into it. The crater it left behind eventually became a source of great myth and inspiration for many generations. Featured in many mythological tales, it continues to draw attention of those interested in astronomy, geology, natural flora and fauna of the region.
This September, we invite you to accompany us as we head out on an expedition around the crater. This historic town of Lonar is not only home to the crater but also to some unique temples. The Daitya Sudan temple for instance built over 1000 years ago built features some fascinating sculptures in stone.
We will be accompanied by a well known researcher on the lake – Mr. Bugdane who has been campaigning for conservation of the lake and has extensively documented it.
    Here's the plan!
Depart from Bombay on the Devgiri Express at 9 PM on 19th September to arrive next morning at Jalna at 5. Take a taxi to Lonar, 2 hours away and check into the fantastically located MTDC property overlooking the crater.
Over the next two days, we will be visiting the lake and the surrounding temples and structures accompanied by Mr. Bugdane. There will be bird watching sessions and also if we get lucky, we might spot some wildlife.
We shall take the return train on Sunday, 8 pm to arrive in Bombay the next day at 5am. So Monday morning work isn't missed!
    Cost: Rs. 5500 inclusive of
3AC travel from Bombay to Bombay (Sleeper/2AC can be organised if preferred)

Goa – the name conjures up images of the beach, some shacks on the beach and endless alcohol. But beyond this, Goa, within its small area is home to a host of interesting places, things to do and experiences to treasure.
Join us this September as we backpack through the erstwhile colony of the Portuguese and uncover the secrets that it quietly holds within. We will walk, cycle, drive about the countryside and visit islands off the main coast, take a boat down the Zuari and spot raptors flying about.
A walkabout to the 11th Century Tambdi Surla temple, a drive through some of the less explored sanctuaries and if time permits, a visit to Dudhsagar waterfall. Heritage walks across Central Goa, visit old churches and villas, dine at a spice farm and spend time experiencing the local cuisine and culture.
Our journey will begin on the night of 24th September on the Mangalore express to arrive in Goa the next morning. The next 4 days we will spend exploring Goa and board the train on 28th Sept, Sunday to reach the next morning.
The total cost for the trip will be approximately Approx Rs. 6000-7000 per person (1200 – Sleeper Class train travel 1800 for accommodation(twin sharing), Internal transfers, boatrides, shared cabs, buses etc – 2000, Breakfree fees: 1800)

One of the oldest city of the world – Varanasi, Benares or Kashi has been on our mind since a very long time. And what better time to visit it but during Dusshera when the ghats come alive with festivity! Two holidays back to back make this long weekend even better!
The journey begins on the 30th September, late at night aboard the LTT- Varansi Super Fast Express, which will bring us to Varanasi on the morning of the 2nd. We check into our hotel overlooking the ghats and spend the next four days wandering about the narrow bylanes of Varanasi, taking boat rides up and downstream of the Ganga, visit the nearby fort, go an excursion to Sarnath and of course, gorge on the lipsmacking food on offer.
Varanasi for many is an intense journey filled with sights, sounds and smells that perplex, overwhelm and also soothen. The life around the Ganges hasn't changed in many centuries and to be able to witness it as it is, is a memory to be treasured.
Benares isn't your typical tourist destination but it is one of the places that has to be experienced wholly, mindfully and we encourage you to come along with us with a blank canvas and let your memories of Kashi paint it for you.
We will take the Pawan Express on Sunday the 4th of October, late at night to arrive in Bombay on Monday late night. Effective number of leaves required: 2 days.
The cost for the trip would be Rs. 12,000 which will include
    - 3 AC Tickets from Bombay to Varanasi and back
    - Accommodation in a deluxe room or similar on twin sharing basis for 3 nights
    - Breakfast on all 4 days in Varanasi
    - 3 Boat rides up and downstream of the Ganges (2 morning boat rides, and 1 in the evening)
    - Day Excursion to Sarnath and Ramnagar Fort
    - All Entry Fees
Note: If you wish to travel in SL/2AC class, then we could organise for your tickets accordingly.
Tickets for the onward journey will be booked on the 29th of July onwards.
Booking amount for the trip will be Rs. 6000.
