The name Sandakphu means the 'Height of the Poison Plant', a direct reference to the profusion of the poisonous aconite plants that grow near the peak. It is the loftiest peak of the Singalila range.
Trekking in Sandakphu starts off from an altitude of 1,524 meters (5,000 ft) and Sandakphu epitomizes the wild elemental grandeur of the snows. Nature here is at her pristine best, and the vista at the top is worth all the hardship endured on the way. The view from Sandakphu is unsurpassed by any view anywhere. Where else can we see 180 degrees of snow-capped mountains which includes Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Kumbhakarna, Kanchenjunga,Chomolhari in one single stretch of snows-an ethereal beauty.

The itinerary for the event will be as follows:Day 1: 16th Oct: Start from Mumbai by Flight.
Day 2: 17th Oct: Bagdogra to Maneybhanjyan:
Reach NJP/IXB or Bagdogra in the morning. Meet our representatives and drive towards Maneybhanjyan. On arrival, transfer to hotel.
Evening sightseeing and acclimatization.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: 18th Oct: Maneybhanjyang - Tumling:Maneybhanjyang the starting point of the trek. The days walk, about 06 hrs, is uphill and the trail passes through small village of Chitre and forests of Rhododendrons and Magnolias. The trekkers hut at Tumling(2790m) is located on a hill top overlooking the Sikkim Himalayas.
Overnight at Tonglu.
Day 04: 19th Oct: Tumling - Kalepokhri:Continues Sandakphu Trek, we undertake a pleasant walk through the forest which is home to the rare Red Panda and the Tragopan. A long trek 14 kms to Kalepokhri(3010m). Reach Kalepokhri (famous for the pond of balck water which never freezes and is revered by the local people) Stay in trekkers hut.
Day 05: 20th Oct: Kalepokhri - Sandakphu:Sandakphu Trek continues. After breakfast, start the trek to Sandakphu(3636m) which takes about 06 hrs. Sandakphu is the place to view the mountains. On a clear day one can see the peaks of Lhotse (8501m), Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8475m) of the Nepal Himalayas and the huge Kanchenjunga massif (8586m) along with other peaks of the Sikkim himalayas.

Day 06: 21st Oct: Sandakphu - Gurdum:Continues Sandakphu Trek, This day very early morning after a grand sunrise show and the breathtaking view of the greater himalayas,we will come downhill to Gurdum(2800m) through a forest after breakfast.
Overnight at Gurdum.
Day 07: 22nd Oct: Gurdun - Rimbik: Sandakphu Trek continues, After breakfast start trek to Rimbik(2286m) which takes about 05 hrs. The trail passes through the villages of Srikhola and the forest provides ample opportunities for birding.
Overnight at Rimbick.
Day 08: 23rd Oct: Rimbik – DarjeelingAfter breakfast drive to Darjeeling,
Lunch, Freshen up. Evening at leisure for shopping
Day 9: 24th Oct: Darjeeling Siteseeing
Early Morning (3 am) Start to Tiger hill, ghoom Monastry,
Return to Hotel for Breakfast
Visit Himalayan Mountaneering institute, Zoo, Tibetian Refugee Centre, Japanese Temple, Tea gardens, etc
Overnight in Darjeeling
Day 2: 17th Oct: Bagdogra to Maneybhanjyan:
