Keeping the promise of taking you to OffBeat routes
we are happy to announce the trek to Mahuli fort via kalyan darwaza.

Last year we opened only half of this route and after descending via kalyan darwaza we again climbed back to Mahuli.

This year team OffBeat Sahyadri did hard work and visited mahuli several time to open the complete route till Vandre village and make it safe for our Beaters.

we did rebolting of the route with the help of SAK, with the help of villagers we did carved steps at the descending route to vandre. We cleared the dry grass and for clean place for base camp.

With all these efforts Team OffBeat Sahyadri is all set to take you trekkers to one of the offbeat route : Mahuli via Kalyan arwaza.

Trek to Mahuli via kalyan Darwaza

Trivia
Type: Hill Fort
Base Village: Vandre
Height: 2815 ft (Above MSL)
Grade: Difficult (Technical)

If you are an adventure freak, then this trek is for you.
Mahuli though split in three parts viz Bhandargad, mahuli and Palasgad, they all are part of one huge fort.

Mahuli is more known for the series of pinnacles that attract the rock climbers from all over the Maharashtra.

The kalyan Darwaja is the Konkan side entrance to the fort and its access has become difficult since the Britishers blew the stone carved steps.

The specialty of this entrance is its location. It’s almost impossible to locate it as it has been carved in groves and cuts of the mountain through a huge rock.

Since it was destroyed by Britishers, it requires technical expertise to access this portion of the fort.
